Bathed by the light of Sardinia since his birth, Walter Boï is very early passionate about paintings, photography and cinema. Of a teaching mother in history of art and a father architect, he knows the importance which holds the artistic forms in history. Literary person, polyglot, he attended IED (Istituto Europeo di Design) after one year spent at the University in political studies in Cagliari. Once obtained his degree in photography, Walter left Italy and specialized in fashion photography by multiplying experiences in France, the United States, Brazil and by travelling the world.

Becoming familiar with professionals of the fashion industry gave Walter the possibility of pursuing his photography career by working for renowned magazines such as Vogue Italia, WWD (Japan), Marie Claire, Double, Stiletto, Numero (Japan), Collectible DRY, Grazia, Elle Brazil, Vogue Brazil and more.

He also performs numerous portraits of musicians, designers, actors, directors and fashion icons such as Naomi Campbell, Vincent Cassel, Mathieu Amalric, Angela and Rosi Missoni, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, Giorgio Armani, Keziah Jones, Mylene Jampanoï to name a few.

In July 2024 "Paris rue de Lancry, DiARiO" was released, the first photography book by Walter which contains the 55 self-portraits taken during the Parisian lockdown in 2020. These photographs are the body of an exhibition of the same title scheduled to be shown around the world beginning second half of 2024.

Walter collaborates with artists and contemporary art galleries, under diverse artistic forms such as photography, video art and live performances. Renewing constantly his practice, Walter produces still and moving images for brands like Giorgio Armani, Vhernier, Blumarine, Hogan, Wella, Sessun in diverse formats to be displayed in current media.
